Happy New Year!
From the desk of Rev. Mark Struckhoff:
“The human person is a mini-universe, each with his or her own Big Bang history walking into a future created simply by being alive.” – Ilia Delio, from the introduction of her book Compassion: Living in the Spirit of St. Francis
Happy New Year! I am so grateful for you and the “mini-universe” God has created in creating you!
Even though the calendar change from 2015 to 2016 is more or less a symbolic turning into a new beginning, the change is nonetheless an opportunity to reflect on who we are, whose we are, and who we are becoming in Christ. I pray you will walk unafraid into the New Year, as God walks with you!
Special Message for our Member Churches, Clergy and Delegates:
Please make plans to attend the upcoming Annual Meeting of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks, Thursday February 4, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. We’ll meet in the Crosslines warehouse where lunch will be served, followed by presentation of new Board Members, recognition of Board Members terming out, presentation of our 2016 budget and casting a vision for our 2016 ministry together in the community through the 2016 Compassion Campaign. Please call John Peterson at 417-862-3586 to confirm your attendance.
Thank you for your partnership! May we serve together in 2016 in such a way that Jesus Christ is glorified and His prayer for our unity is actualized!
In Joyful Service,
