Help Day or Night
Night or Day Safe to Sleep is inspiring hope through compassion and acceptance.
At night, Safe to Sleep provides a safe place to sleep for up to 50 women. During the day, Safe to Sleep assists guests individually to set goals that work towards permanent housing.
You can help provide these women with safe shelter and the encouragement they need to improve their quality of life by sponsoring one of the Safe to Sleep Adoption Programs. Choose to Adopt A Program, A Night, Extended Services, or Transportation Support.
About Safe to Sleep
Safe to Sleep was established in October 2011. The primary goal of the Safe to Sleep program is to provide overnight safety, but also to provide an opportunity to volunteers from the community to break existing stereotypes about homelessness.
Once the guests’ need for shelter is met, then the focus can be turned to other goals: transportation from the shelter and bus passes to appointments, connection with medical and mental health specialists, help to find permanent housing and assistance with all the paperwork to connect the dots.
All guests who utilize the shelter for two weeks meet with Safe to Sleep staff, who help them prepare an Individual Plan, then follow up with a regular schedule to encourage the guests’ progress.
