Out of an abundance of caution and to assist with our nation’s preventative efforts, the Council of Churches of the Ozarks is changing the Ambassador for Children’s Kids Closet distribution effective Monday, March 20, 2020.  This is only a temporary measure and will be re-evaluated in a month.  The closet has closed its interior facility to public access out of concern about COVID-19 and possible volunteer shortages.  In addition to the changes to the Kids Closet, the mobile distribution to Branson is postponed until further notice.

Ambassadors for Children encourages those children who recently came into care and need assistance to utilize the closet immediately by completing the KIDS CLOSET ONLINE ORDER FORM.

Online orders will be packaged and ready for pickup on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 am – 2 pm.

Children already in care are encouraged to wait for the Spring/Summer clothing line coming to the Kids Closet on April 14th.

Thank you for understanding the need for modifications.

Support Foster Care Awareness

Help children to be known for who they are, not for their situation. Join Ambassadors for Children in confirming all children are loved and wonderful just as they they are. In Greene County, more than 600 children are currently in foster care. These children often leave their homes with nothing more than a wal-mart sack full of belongings. At Ambassadors for Children, they have an opportunity to pick out new clothing, shoes, and necessasities. They can pursue extra-curricular activities and receive needed therapies. A donation to the #IamMe campaign provides an opportunity for foster children to express their true self and chase their dreams.
