Daybreak is licensed with the State of Missouri and is operated in accordance with the US Department of Agriculture nondiscrimination clause which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, age, handicap, religion or national origin.
Another service offered through Daybreak. It provides door-through-door, non-emergency medical transportation to elderly and disabled adults who are unable to use existing transportation due to physical limitations.
This program is for those who are 60 years of age or older, disabled or are unable to use existing transportation due to physical limitations. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Individuals and organizations “donate” wheelchairs, walkers, canes, shower benches and hearing aids to make life a little easier for older or handicapped individuals. This loan program is available at no cost.
General financial support is always welcome, as needs can vary in scope and urgency. In addition to providing a safe place to leave loved ones during the day, Daybreak has a bus service to pick up and drop off clients, an eldercare transit service to help elderly reach their doctor appointments, take regular field trips and offer a number of hand over hand opportunities for the clients.
Financial contributions save you a trip to the store and can also be used to purchase:
- Gas for the vans and busses
- Bus maintenance
- Material for projects
- Admission into field trip activities
