In observance of National Foster Care Awareness Month this May, Ambassadors for Children invites your support. Thanks to the generosity of Bill and Virginia Darr, every dollar donated to AFC, up to $50,000, will be matched, doubling the assistance provided to children in Greene, Christian, and Taney counties.
Without amazing foster parents: Hundreds of children in foster care in the Ozarks wouldn’t receive the love and care they need to grow and become healthy adults.
Without Ambassadors for Children: Hundreds of foster families wouldn’t have help meeting their basic needs.
Without you, our donors: Ambassadors for Children cannot serve our community.
Did you know that out of the 50 states, Missouri ranks in the top 10 for the number of children in foster care? Missouri also ranks 49th out of 50 states on the amount of support for foster families receive.
In 2023, Ambassadors for Children made significant strides in supporting children and families, particularly through clothing provision. Over the year, we distributed over 1,900 complete outfits, 3,888 pairs of socks, 2,850 pairs of underwear and 387 coats, alongside Christmas gifts for 650 children.
As we strive to serve our community’s most vulnerable children and families, we invite you to join us in extending the hands and feet of Christ. Your contribution ensures that every child receives the dignity they deserve as cherished children of God.
