Two more school districts in the Ozarks will join the Math and Reading Buddy Program through the Council of Churches.
This spring, the program is expanding to include the elementary schools in Highlandville and Marshfield. Springfield has included three of their schools in the Math Buddy Program.
“It is difficult when you get 20 to 25 kids in a room that all have needs, and all have personalities and things going on, so the fact that we get to come alongside those teachers and support them and offer them one-on-one connections for their students is a really neat partnership we get to do,” says Tina Miller, the Director of the Math and Reading Buddy Program.
